A Mighty Heart by Mariane Pearl- Book review
Back in 2020, I came across a piece of news about the murder of an American journalist Daniel Pearl . I thought of writing an article about all the journalists who lost their lives due to terrorist organisations. Finally it is in 2022 that I am reminded of the case again and I came to know that there is a book written by the wife of the slain journalist. It is now that I understand what a high profile case it was. The book is a personal account of the time before, during and after the murder of Daniel in 2002 and is written by his wife, Mariane. An immense task and not easily understood and not at all to be cheapened as a publicity stunt. It takes immense courage to recollect and narrate the sorrows of the most tragic moments of one's life, especially when you are about to bring a new life into this world.
